You Are All Invited!

June 25, 2007

Our Challengers’ debutant, Ms. Maria Cecilia Castillo, is cordially inviting all of MTC Calamba staff and students to attend her 18th birthday celebration that will be held at Villa Conception Resort on Saturday, June 30, 2007.

Bring your drinking paraphernalia. :D

First OJTers

May 28, 2007

Two of our classmates (viz., Sally and Tse-tse) are already undergoing their on-the-job training, and they are the first trainees from MTC Calamba. Since their first day until now, we are receiving guidelines from them – through their kwento’s – on how we should prepare ourselves for our turn.

In the meantime, four nonmed students are preparing by now to take their pre-OJT exam and be the next to be set out to their respective companies of choice.

The rest of the Aspirants will still have to wait for the completion of their specialty lectures. That batch is remarkable for their sincerity in studying and their skills that surpassed some of ours – especially, mine. Yet, they are not contented with their performance; they always aim for better.

We will be waiting for the next events.

Here They Are!

Good Work, Aspirants!

April 12, 2007

At last, the very much awaited “MTC medical slang and idioms drama” was already shown to the great audience and panel of judges (composed of more or less 16 individuals all in all), and it was successful. Hidden talents got out of the hat and we, ourselves, were amazed by some of our classmates’ display of skills. I personally commend Lilia for her uninhibited and artistic acting. Even if I did not understand the flow of the story, it is obvious that she has played her character accordingly. I also thank Bel for showing her interest while I am writing the script; it gave me significant motivation. Our group’s presentation also got its color from the props that were provided by our members and from the serious effort of everyone in the group, even though we were far surpassed by the 2nd group’s mala-telenobelang performance. Anyway, it was not a competition, and surely, everybody enjoyed it. We will wait for the turn of the Aspirant’s 3rd group.

The pictures are coming…

A Long Rest for Us

March 29, 2007

After the tiring exam, it’s our turn to have a rest, thanks to the holy week and “Araw ng Kagitingan”! But don’t forget the “medical slang”  presentation on April 10! See you all there!

I would like to recommend a reading that may make us benefit the holiday. Please click here.

Exam Day

March 21, 2007

If you visit MTC Calamba, you will be able to differentiate examination day from the rest of the days. Noticing students going in and out of the room may be an indication that there are currently “men at work”. Students, on this special day, visit the toilet more frequently than on ordinary days. Another cue is when the students look like they feel colder than everybody else even if the room temp is not that low. Last sign is during lunch time or after class: if you see some disappointed faces on the hallway. However, this facial expression does not always indicate unsatisfactory grades, but rather reflects the expectations of the students that they could have been better. The Aspirants, as days go by, set their goals higher, and always looking forward to a far better performance.

Four More to Go!

March 21, 2007

The MTC-Aspirants already completed 8 specialties; only 4 more to go. Thanks to the non-med program, most of us still have a chance to assimilate all that we have learned, and to improve our grades before leaving. Unfortunately, not all good things come to us the way we want them to. The “allied health” part of the section will be having their OJT 2 months ahead of the rest, which means their time to improve inside the school runs short very quickly. Anyhow, it is their advantage in other way. We can all do it!

How About The Staff

What can you say, we have the ever-smiling, lovely, and competent staff at our back! They always help us to become courageous yet realistic. Thanks, MTC staff!

Wanted Authors

March 1, 2007

Guys, now that we already have our own blogsite, the next problem is who will be the authors. We have our free papers on the Net but we need to have them written on before we can make them public. I am inviting you all Aspirants to post any articles that are related to the section, to the field, or to write even personal thoughts and events that you want to share to the team or to everybody. This is your space, your outlet, and your way to us. Enjoy writing!

Welcome Second Batch of Aspirants

March 1, 2007

We would like to welcome our classmates “to be” who will be transferring to our class schedules after their Intro Exam this March 3, 2007. Also, a “goodwork” wish to them and to their foster section—the BEST—for their first tensing exam. You can all do it!
